Technical Advisory Committee

The Technical Advisory Committee of the Municipal Bonds for America coalition will consist of municipal market professionals including from dealers, asset managers, municipal market insurance providers, law firms and more.  The purpose, as detailed below, is to provide research, analysis and general advocacy support to the issuer led MBFA leading up to and during Federal tax reform negotiations.

Supporting the issuer led MBFA by:

  • Providing quantitative analysis of federal legislative proposals impacting the traditional tax exempt municipal bond market
  • Providing research on the history and benefits of the municipal market to all sectors of the marketplace and economy
  • Supporting advocacy efforts, led by the MBFA executive committee, with empirical data supporting the value and efficiency of the tax-exempt municipal market
  • Being a technical, market data resource for Members of Congress, congressional staff and other DC policy makers
